Timetoast

Timetoast was a Web 2.0 tool used to create a timeline. I wouldn't use this particular timeline tool again because it was very restricted and I would rather have a fully functioning timeline with free to use space.

Piktochart

Piktochart is a fun and easy Web 2.0 tool used to create info-graphics with a fun interesting set-up. I would totally use this tool again to create a fun picture for a project of some sort.

Journal Entry?

It is pretty difficult to decide the best thing I have learned in this class. However, If I was forced to choose by gunpoint, I would have to pick Photoshop. Photoshop has been my favorite Web 2.0 Tool/Computer Tool we have used for many reasons. I like how you can use this application to create and alter photos. I used Photoshop to create penguans flying in a desert. I thought that tool was super neat and very entertaining, as well. There isn't anything I wish I could learn because I have seriously learned everything I've wanted to learn and more. Emerging Technologies has certainly become one of my favorite classes I've ever taken.

Pixton Poaching Comic

Pixton is a website used to create comics and it has many fun and colorful options to use. I did not particularly enjoy this website because it was hard to use and quite frustrating at times. It would not let me drag some of the items that I wanted and it ended up messing with my entire project. I would not recommend this site to anyone.

Gym Sing Photoshop

Today in class we were further experimenting with photoshop and I chose to edit the picture I took of the sign for the Main Gym. I messed with the hue and saturation of the color sea foam green and eventually got this awesome color for the sign.

The Mini-Mizer

Today we were told to choose a Web 2.0 tool and play around with it, I chose to create an avatar made by "The Mini-Mizer". I chose to create a replica of my favorite character from any novel or film. It isn't a perfect representation but I created Legolas from the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I liked this tool a lot and I like how you can make your character look like lego people, legos were my favorite back in the day and I would use this tool again definitely.

Photo Editing and Collages

1. PicMonkey - PicMonkey was my favorite website that I used to edit my pictures. The layout was great and really easy to use and even someone who is not tech savvy whatsoever could have used it easily.
2. iPiccy - iPiccy was an alright website, I would not use it again but there was worse. They layout wasn't my favorite and it was kind of confusing to use.
3. Picadilo - Picadilo was my least favorite website and I liked little to nothing about it. The picture quality came out terrible and the tools were mediocre at best.
4. Pixlr - Pixlr was very cool and very modern, the website template was fancy and the tools were top notch. I enjoyed using Pixlr a lot.
5. BeFunky - BeFunky was nothing special but it was a very good website and all of my pictures from there turned out really cool.
6. Fotor - Fotor was a lot like PicMonkey and I liked using it a lot, it was very easy and fun to use.

Poaching Pop-Up Book

ZooBurst is a fun Web 2.0 tool used to create children stories in an online pop-up book type fashion. I used ZooBurst to create a children's story to inform our youth why poaching is so bad and that they can get an interest early on the topic. I hope that my story is enjoyable and well crafted.

Poaching Video

Animoto is a website that lets you create cool videos using pictures and you can write in little paragraphs. This website is used in many different ways, in my case I used it to help people get interested and try to inform people about the Poaching going on around the world. I really like this tool and it looks very professional, I will indeed be using it again.

Poaching Survey Analysis

Poaching Survey Analysis

In my survey poll about Poaching, I asked many general questions and I also asked in depth questions about my topic. A variety of ages and genders took my survey and that makes for interesting results. For my analysis I am going to group the 14 and 15 year olds together and the 16 and 17 year old in the other group. One of the many questions I asked was “Do you think that poaching is a serious issue?” In the first group (14 and 15 year olds) four of the seven agreed with me and said that it was a serious issue and three of them disagreed. In the second group (16 and 17 year olds) 10 of the 13 said that poaching was important and 3 said it was not. The older the age the more informed and the more important poaching was to them. As I kept looking, the trend kept continuing, the older the survey taker the more informed they were.
